Magnesium supplement

Anyone taking this as a supplement?

It does wonders for my memory and sleep and stiff muscles from Abilify.

However it leaves me feeling a bit weird and mentally uncomfortable the following day. So I don’t take it regularly.

I’ll be ordering lower strengths to see if that makes a difference.

Is anyone else having a good experience with magnesium? If so, what brand/dose are you using?

I just bought some magnesium. Do you take it once before bed?

I take magnesium also. It stops my muscle cramps, helps me relax and sleep better at night, and reduces the number of headaches I get each month.

It is 500mg and I take one in the morning and one at night before bed only if I feel like a nighttime anxiety attack is coming on.

I think morning or night is fine. It builds up to a good level in your body if you take it everyday for awhile.

I think bedtime is the best time to take it. But you can experiment.

Well, I used a pill splitter to cut a magnesium pill in half and took it. So lets see how I get on with half strength.

I take Natural Rhythm Triple Calm Magnesium and it made a HUGE difference in my cognition. I highly recommend.

Yes, I take that excact at the moment. It helps wind me down before bed.

magnesium is an nmda antagonist, which is a property of dxm, and ketamine. i noticed when i took magnesium it kinda left me in a fog and possibly more irritable

When i took magnesium it gave me diarrhea. So i don’t take it anymore. It could’ve been coincidental, tho…

My dad takes magnesium before bed. It helps him.

I felt tired all day. But and it’s a big one, I didn’t feel mentally weird.

So I’ll try half a pill at night. Hopefully it’ll still help and I won’t feel “off” the following day.

Magnesium Glycinate made me anxious and Magnesium Citrate gave me diarrhea
So no thanks

I think I might be having some luck with just 50mg. We’ll see !

I take magnesium before bedtime. All it does is give me diarrhea.

It doesn’t do anything for my muscle stiffness and cramps.

Bio Schwartz magnesium bisglycinate with a small amount of oatmeal about two hours before bedtime doesn’t give me diarrhea.

I can’t say if it helps me because I forget to take it every so often.
