I take ZMA before bed Mon-Fri. Its a very useful sleep aid, but gives me very freaky dreams! Oh, and it gives me morning glory sometimes too.
May help my sleep a bit but not sure. Nothing big I notice.
I have a magnesium & melatonin combined over the counter supplement I take. I find it helps me fall asleep. Its supposed to be one of the best OTC anxiety relief supplements.
Add zinc to that stack for even better sleep
I take 100mg Magnesium everyday. It helps with my energy level during the day and eases constipation. But I don’t think it has helped with my sleep quality.
I take 300mg a day. It really relaxes me and it keeps me regular. Sometimes at night when I take it I wake up at 2am with the tv still on, knocked out.
It’s been amazing for my anxiety too. Before I took magnesium I was way more anxious. I also take Klonopin tho.
Took it for years, no problem. Seems to help sleep a bit. It’s involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions, so being deficinent is not good, yet this is a mineral most people are deficient in.
My brother said it gave him stomach upset which is the most normal side effect, I’m not sure what dose he was taking though.
I used to take 400mg, but 200mg now. Seems to be enough for me.
Well, my magnesium arrived today.
I’ll start taking it at bedtime and see how I get on.
I just took 100mg now. It’s pretty fast acting (20 minutes)
It’s like a sleeping pill .
It makes me sleepy and relaxes me.
To be honest it’s a bit like a benzo except for the drowsiness/sleepiness.
Does the same for me.
I take a vitamin d, magnesium, calcium combo tablet. Haven’t noticed anything really.
if you suffer from extrapyramidal symptoms like muscle stiffness you need anticholinergic drugs like benzatropine.supplements wont work.
Just be careful not to take too much. You’ll know becuase it will give you the runs. Milk of Magnesia is a laxative.
Yeah I took Magnesium years ago and like @Pat6398 said, be careful too much of it could give you diarrhea
I took 200mg last night and had a great night’s sleep. I feel refreshed today which normally isn’t the case.
But it hasn’t done anything for muscle stiffness, yet anyway.
I feel very sedated and dumbed down today
You think it’s from the magnesium?
Could be a coincidence, but guess you will find out as you progress.
