I want to say something positive. My sleeping pattern is getting better these days. I am going to a drop in center 5 days a week. That is helping my sleep pattern. I sleep odd hours sometimes these days….maybe once or twice every 2 weeks. How is your sleeping pattern these days? My sleeping pattern use to be bad as it gets. I would sleep twice a day… like around 8 to 12 midnight. Then I would go back to sleep around 7am to like 1pm.

My sleeping pattern is good. I go to a drop in center, too, 5 days a week. I usually go to bed at 9:30 and wake up at 6:30 or 7. I don’t nap at all during the day cuz if i do then i don’t sleep well at night. I also take temazepam to help me sleep. When i was coming off Zyprexa i had some wicked insomnia and they started the temazepam then and i still take it now every night.

Getting better. I manage to sleep a little at night and then I’m awake for ages and may not nap (if I’m dosed high in caffeine)
I sleep 12 hours then I’m up for 18 hours. One day I wake up at 8 am the next I wake up 2 pm then the next day I wake up at 8 pm. I can’t wake up because of my meds. Any less than 12 hours and I can’t function because I’m too tired. When I wake up I’m drugged out of my mind. I need 3 or 4 cups of coffee to somewhat snap out of it. It’s a catch 22. I can’t sleep without my meds. When I was off of them I’d stay awake for a week at a time.
I have a similar “schedule” so I can relate. My meds make me sleep 8-12 hours. Haldol is 8 seroquel is 12. As long as you’re getting some sleep you should be okay.
My sleep schedule is always messed up. It’s right before midnight and I just got up.
