Sleep Apnea?

Do any of you have sleep apnea or have a family member with sleep apnea?

There’s a high probability that I have sleep apnea and I’m considering getting an auto-CPAP machine.

Have any of you (or your family) experienced improvement in your mood and energy levels due to using CPAPs?

The cost of the CPAP + sleep study going through my insurance is actually going to be more expensive than directly purchasing a machine online without insurance, so I’m likely going to bypass the sleep study.

I have sleep apnea. At first I felt worse on the machine but now I think much better. The sleep study determines what setting your machine should be set on. I was told the settings go up to 11, my CPAP machine is set on 8.

I have been using one for over two months and have more energy but still like to oversleep with it like around 12 hours of sleep somtimes.

I had a dream I had to use a cpap machine. It was red.

you really shouldn’t bipass the sleep study. in the sleep study they determine : 1) whether or not you have apnea and 2) what kind of mask suits you best and 3) this is the most important: they will determine the proper pressures for your machine to be set at.

I’ve had sleep apnea for years and I use BIPAP (oh yes, they wlll also determine whether you need CPAP or BIPAP)
this is not something you can figure out on your own.

This might be a odd question, but I have a friend who suffers from it, but is very overweight.

The fat around her neck pushes in on her airways closing them causes it for her.

I think for her the best thing she could do is stop eating takeaways and eat healthily, so she loses weight safely.

Is this the same problem with yours?
