Clozapine 200mg is working fine for paranoia, but i have severe anxiety induced from it. I have to take benzo along with it to fix anxiety.
If i switch to olanzapine then i may be able to stop my benzo which will further improve my cognition(forgetfulness) which is impaired by my benzo.
In regards to weight, I lost 15kg so far on clozapine through lifestyle changes. I don’t know what will happen with olanzapine in regards to weight. I will try to control it.
Olanzapine is very good for anxiety, it worked wonders.
On Clozapine i do feel a little bit anxious from it but its working better than olanzapine worked for my positive symptoms.
Maybe think about taking a low 5 mg dose of olanzapine with the clozapine to help with anxiety…
Its said to help with anxiety, but zyprexa isnt an anxiety med? For me its not.
Maybe taking just SSRI will help my anxiety on olanzapine instead of benzo which i take with clozapine.
I take prozac with clozapine and its working very good

Do u have much weight gain on clozaril?? It was the worst drug for me for weight gain.
It was effective but I couldn’t stand the side effects I guess
No dude I’ve actually lost weight since I’ve been on clozapine and come off olanzapine.

Wow that’s crazy. Just goes to show everyone is so different. I did have bad weight gain on zyprexa though too. That was the second worst for that.
yea its so intense that i cant even take risperidone along with clozapine. I start crying after 1st 0.5mg dose. But if i take high dose benzo along with risperidone then i can tolerate risperidone, crying stops on benzo
Yep I felt that insane anxiety on xeplion ( invega sustenna ) so so bad anxiety I had to stop it.
Luckily clozapine doesnt impact me so bad with side effects.
Zyprexa can cause weight gain. It’s one of my medications. It hasn’t stopped my paranoia but it’s helped with my hallucinations.
olanzapine might help with anxiety but there are better meds with less side effects that can do a better job, for me
olanzapine just made me want to sleep and eat all day it helped with psychosis but made me get very fat and also gave me some EPS which im still dealing with now that im off it.
its really similar to clozapine there might not be any point in making that switch
I put on 35 kilos in two years on 20mg of Olanzapine
