Should i let doctor control my life?

i feel my doc really trying to control my life
telling me what should i take meds and when
he asks me to pray and even to go to work
more than that he trying to control my sleep and when

i feel i should think to take responsibility of my life and either to take medications low dose and go on that or not to take at all

i also see him arrogant he doesnt talk much with me he just give me medication coz he is famous may be

anyone has different opinion to obey him and take medications ??
howww !!!

Some doctors are a bit arrogant. But as long as they’re helping you, it doesn’t really matter if you like them or not. I used to call my old pdoc Dr. House to his face. He was a huge jerk, and very unpleasant to interact with, but he found the perfect med for me pretty quickly.

Switch doctors if you can. Or tell his ass to slow down. A tiny man pdoc wouldn’t let me change meds or listen. I felt like strapping is scrawny ass to a vehicle ride off into the sunset. I’m just arrrgh pdocs! Do you have a case worker that goes to each appt with you?

It’s best to find a doc that listens to you in my opinion

Honestly, all of this seems like very good, general advice that any doctor would give. All doctors recommend sleeping at night and being awake during the day to establish a good circadian rhythm. They all direct you on how to take your meds, and advise you to work or volunteer if you can. Telling you to pray is a bit unusual, unless you’re a religious person who gets comfort from praying.

I had had 5 Pdocs when I lived in Australia, 3 out of the 5 were very arrogant as they did not talk to me but only dictated me what to do what not to. They never explained also never told me I need to take the meds for the rest of my life. These Pdocs were like emotionless machines. However other 2 of them were nice as they talked to me and listened to me.

I’d ask him what he thinks about lowering the dose but if you are still hearing voices or have so recently its a good reason why he wants u to continue taking that dose.why is it very high dose?

i dont know he just give me medication

Based on your recent posts, I would say that you should listen to your doctor. You seem to be suffering quite a bit, and following his advice might make you feel better.

Asking someone to pray doesn’t seem a reasonable thing to do. It can be seen as arrogant.

But, you should keep taking your medicines even if you decide changing doctors.

I think changing docs is not neccessary. I think docs are good for me in general. They support me no matter what. I think they are really smart in a good way. I choose not to share all about my life with docs… cause i want to control my own life.
