Shots better or pills

I am wondering to switch from one table form to oral form of invega due to inconsistency in the injection wears or at three weeks and also dono if the person giving injection is administering it right full dose

I prefer shots. no worrying about taking meds everyday. just my opinion.

That’s true if you forget a pill it’s a hassle

Ok thank you will talk to my pdoc

another thing I don’t like about pills, is they were making dizzy and faint when I would standup after having been sitting awhile. the shots don’t do that to me.

A pdoc told me that the injection is always more likely to make you more tired than the pill. A nurse told me that the 24/7 coverage of the injection can greatly help symptoms if you find the pills wears off and you experience an increase in symptoms at night/evenings.

Personally I like the pills better, the shot wore off early so I had to do it every 3 weeks instead of 4. Now I take Invega pills and I haven’t noticed any decrease in effectiveness.

The only problem is the pills cost more but at least I don’t have to get an injection every 3 weeks.

I always thought the injection cost more, that’s odd.

That’s weird because I switched from pills to injection because the injection I could take a higher dose without the exhaustion I was getting in the pills. Lol

All evidence that nobody -psychiatrist, nurse, patient, has a clue.

I don’t even listen when they talk anymore.

I have the same thoughts as you. I’m always a little worried that the nurse might not be giving the injection properly. I took respiredone pills and I liked them. Made me sleep well at night. Although sometimes was hard to get out of bed. And also I had skipped a few doses and ended up relapsing. I now take invega and so far it’s alright. I like that I don’t have to be reminded that I have to take medicine. And also no worries of missing dose. Although it is a lot harder to get to bed and stay asleep. And I feel a little bit weaker as well due to high dose.

I like pills to shots.

Because I’m scared about this release of injection over a month wat if it accidentally isn’t steady
Also wat if I suddenly get a really really terrible side effect the stuff is in me I’m not in control but with pills I am

I wish I could get injections. Unfortunately clozapine isn’t available in injectable form. So I’m stuck taking pills. Thankfully I have blister/bubble packs to cut down on errors or misses.
