In my personal experience, the Risperdal injections are more effective than the pills. Also, the injections have the added benefit of being much less constipating.

I like pills because I can fill them early and have a stockpile I cycle through. Iām worried about a coronal mass ejection or catastrophe. I think cold turkey off my pills would kill me in unimaginable pain and horror.
For me shots , due to my tendency to forget oral doses.

I had worse side effects from shots, Iāve been sensitive to the medicine. Iāve been happy with the pills. I sit at my desk basically all day, and then before bed I look at em, if I forgot to flip them overā¦I didnāt take them. If I did, boom I took them. Sometime around the morning I turn em over again.

I was on the shots last year cuz the pdoc didnāt trust me not to overdose on a large supply of pills but now Iām on Abilify pills which they give me a 2 weekās supply in blister packs. That makes it easy to take them. I would go back to the shots if theyād let me give them to myself but they wonāt so I donāt.
