Hi, and welcome.

Seroquel is known to be one of the most drowsy sedating AP’s. You could wait it out and see if you adjust better with time.

Otherwise lowering the dose could be a option you could discuss with your mental health team. If you take XR you could possibly take less of this than you did with standard seroquel as it stays longer in the system and is stronger in a sense, something to discuss with your doctor.

I’m on 100 xr and 300 normal at night. Yeah it does knock you out. I’ve been taking half lately cos I’ve got appointments to keep in the mornings.

I’ve read long term it ain’t great for your liver, and I’ve mentioned it but they don’t seem interested.

I am gonna quit it at some point and not tell them, and deal with the insomnia for a week. I’m sure it ain’t doing my already knackered liver much good…

It is a great med tho. In prison they are called serial killers lol, and are often sold to cons on the sly, so they can sleep the day away.

Welcome to the forum! I recommend either waiting to get used to the dosage or asking for a lower dose if it’s helping more than the other Antipsychotics
