Hey you guys it’s been a while since I’ve been on and thought I’ll drop in and share some good news that hopefully will give many people hope. I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in March of 2017, and was on AP and mood stabilizer from February 2017-February 2018… I have since stopped taking my meds, it’s been like 6 months and I have not relapsed. I also dealt with a lot of side effects like problems with sexual functioning, depression, weight gain, and just overall felt completely different from before I started taking meds and had schizophrenia. Now I am soooo happy, I have no depression, no anxiety, and lost 40 pounds!!! My life is starting to feel normal again, and I’m starting to get sexual functioning back. Like I’m just so grateful and blessed to be where I’m at today and I thought I would never see the days where I feel like myself again.
That’s awesome for you. Unfortunately for most of us we wudnt b so lucky coming off meds
i’m coming off meds As well. it’s been dropped to 100mg a month from 200mg every 2 weeks. so far so good. only 5 more months on them.
how long have you been off meds?
Chances are your not sz. It is known to happen which is why there’s a time involved in the diagnostic process. Good luck to you. Meds are the lot of most folks around here and that should be pointed out!
Be careful. Sz is “cunning, baffling, and powerful”.
Did you doc approve quiting meds?
My psychaiatrist is wheannig me off drugs
You are lucky if you can come off medication
Most people become unwell again like myself
My doctor doesn’t think I’ll have another relapse if I stay off cannabis as all my psychotic episodes were cannabis induced.

Well that is just wonderful I pray it keeps up for you. 
I know it makes me so sad, it’s a delicate situation. And I feel so bad for ppl who can’t manage even a couple days without meds which is why I’m grateful for being off for 6 months because it’s not long but considering other cases it’s a blessing. I hope that one day for those who cannot live without meds, there is a cure or medication that is more healthy.

I mean I would hope I wasn’t but most of the time when you experience psychosis, it comes back which is schizophrenia, but it could’ve been drug induced for me because I smoked a lot of marijuana
I’m aware, let’s just stay positive, that has helped me thus far

Don’t feel. Too bad. For people who can’t come off meds. We all have our issues and I’m lucky I don’t get much side affect from the meds. So everyone’s situation is a bit different
