Risperidone versus amisulpride for tactile hallucinations

Hello. I am bipolar 1 with psychotic features.
My doctor told me that for my tactile hallucinations I either can take risperidone or amisulpride. My tactile involve feeling objects inside my body its distressing .
I would really need some advice about these two meds for what I said and maybe what other supplements helped thanks.

I see thanks. I will see about that. Amisulpride does not help too much.

I’m on risperidone shot(perseris) and have voices, tactile hallucinations, paranoia, bad thoughts, and anxiety. This is the best med I’ve been on since I got my mental illness(schizo affective disorder) 14 years ago. Voices and tactile hallucinations are barely there, paranoia is great because I can go into public places and not think everyone is talking about me, and bad thoughts and anxiety are manageable now.

It’s a newer type of shot where they inject the med under the skin instead of in the muscle. I’ve been on several intramuscular meds and nothing has ever helped this much. You will have to go on risperidone oral first to see if you have any adverse reactions to risperidone though. The oral med didn’t work nearly as good as the shot. I highly recommend it.

Thanks. I can only take the oral med for now. But I still hope it has an effect because those tactile stuff are just distressing.
