Risperdal vs Zyprexa?

I also tried tons of supplements nothing worked, glycine made me eat less though. Its been 2 weeks that I am taking Lion’s Mane but 0 improvements. I have reordered Sarcosine from the US and from China, last time it got refused at the border. I guess its my last try with Vraylar, then I will move on and live with my severe negative symptoms for life. I have no better choice as I had bigger problems with Abilify than negative symptoms.

If you are obese and suffer with prediabetes or diabetes then I would think long and hard before jumping on the Zyprexa bandwagon.

Yea I have prediabetes, taking Metformin, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I think ill wait for Vraylar or ask my psychiatrist about it.

Congrats! 15151

I would. Zyprexa is great for sleep. I couldn’t take risperdal.

Has your penis size remained the same? at what age did you get it?

@Aziz I am a similar build to you and my doctor refused me zyprexa on weight gain grounds

I got schizophrenia at age 20 and started risperidone at the same time. My size depends on how aroused i am, wo risperidone kinda reduced my erectione sizes, but now it takes few strokes and im 80% hard

I feel like Zyprexa could help me a lot but I refuse to take it because of weight gain and diabetes. I’m already showing signs of metabolic syndrome and am 100lbs overweight essentially.

I’m really happy for you! How do you feel?

I feel better and hope that its works for both positive and negative symptoms. Some here said it has a 50% chance of working for positive symptoms.

I’m in the process of switching to vraylar, since we’re on the topic. I sure hope it’s not 50%. Would a med pass trials with just 50% chance of working for positives though? My answer would be ‘no’, but I need more info on this. I will research more about it and ask my pdoc as well

I really hope it works for you. It’s supposed to be weight neutral, perhaps you could start losing weight and hopefully ditch the metformin? Also the partial agonism, perhaps could help with the negatives you get from most of the atypicals. Fingers crossed dude.

hola

have you only lost quality erection or have you lost your size for real?

I think my current psychiatrist likes Zyprexa.
She’s suggested it to me a couple of times.

Unlike most psychiatrists, my current doctor doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Abilify.

I don’t know maybe I’ll give Zyprexa another try.

At least it doesn’t raise prolactin significantly

zyprexa = more sedating, more appetite, less heart risk except for what can happen from constantly overeating, less prolactin increase

risperdal = still very sedating and appetite stimulating but not as much as zyprexa, more heart risk increased with interactions, prolactin

From what I read Zyprexa causes more weight gain and is bad for diabetes. I remember my liver enzymes were higher on Zyprexa, I was refered to an internist Dr, liver pancreas etc Dr.
