Been on it for a week.
Just started 1mg yesterday.
Has really killed my my depression.
I actually feel happy for the first time in years.
Tapering off another AP for another week.
Will see how it works for psychosis.
So much different than abilify.
When I was on abilify I couldn’t sleep at all.
With rexulti I probably sleep too much.

How long were you on Abilify? I was for 6 months and it played hell with my sleep too.

3 months, I begged to get off of it due to the sleep problems.
Never made it past 15mg.
I read a lot of people saying rexulti is just a patent extender.
But it is a completely different animal.

I really hope it works for you.
I was disappointed in Abilify as it reads like a good drug on paper, but it didn’t work out for me either.
I am on Amisulpride now, and so far it’s working well. It’s been 8 months now.
Have you tried many other AP’s? I am on number 6 now!

Thanks.
I’ve tried 8 before this including clozaril.
I kinda wish we had amisulpride in the US.
It sounds like a good drug with few side effects from what I have read.

It seems good so far but apparently you can have issues with prolactin. I might make an appointment with my GP to do a blood test soon.
I am not sure why it’s not in the US. It’s pretty much everywhere else. I pretty much feel normal on it now, though I wish I was on a lower dose.
What happened with Clozaril? I was told that drug is the gold standard when they tried to get me on it. I was put off by the blood tests.

Clozaril worked good for a couple of years.
I just really got tired of being stabbed for a refill.
Also had a lot of problems with the clozapine registry.
It led me to have to get more blood tests than I was supposed to have.

At least that’s behind you now, and you can look forward to this drug doing a better job. Sounds promising so far!

1mg seems to be good so far.
Will see how I feel after the old AP is out of my system.
Im on rexulti 3mg (been on it for about a month now) and it’s been great for me too. I have energy and personality again which i didn’t seem to have on risperidone. I couldnt sleep much or at all in the first week on it but it’s sorted itself out, i sleep fine now

Do you take it for depression and/or psychosis?
I’d really like to know how it works for positive symptoms like paranoia if you deal with that…

Congratulations. I heard it’s just repackaged abilify and I hated abilify.
Its vraylar or clozaril for me…

Vraylar is what I’m switching from.
Excellent med just some side effects I didn’t like.

So it works well for you?
I imagine my doc will put me on 2mg next month since I was on a pretty high dose of vraylar.
Did you notice any changes as you went up in dose?
