Anyone switch from abilify to rexulti?

Just thought I’d ask.

I’m not sure anyone on here is using rexulti anyway.

Not me.
Are you thinking of switching, why?

Is rexulti out in Europe?

I can’t stand abilify. I get the urge to switch every so often. But it’s kept me out of hospital for 6 years.

What don’t you like about the Abilify?

I don’t know. It will be available soon if it’s not already. It’s been approved by the EMA.

I’m complaining right now because over the past few days I feel a weird sensation in my head that’s difficult to explain. There’s always something. I’m just fed up.

It was made available to in Switzerland Jan 1 2019. It will be called Rexulti, in other countries in the EU it will be called Rxulti. If it’s not in your country yet, hopefully it should be soon. I read that they were releasing it out to EU countries during the 2019-2020 time frame.

I was on Rexulti for about 6 months. It made me very hungry and kind of lazy, but I had no positive symptoms on it. I ended up switching back to Abilify and it’s a much better fit for me. Hopefully it works well for you if you end up trying it.

Rexulti is very similar to Abilify. My psy said its in the same family as Abilify and has similar side effects. Abilify gave me bad side effects so he said he won’t prescribe me Rexulti.

I’ve had both. I went from Abilify (10mg) to Risperidone (?mg) to Rexulti (2mg in the morning). I found it very different and much better than Abilify. I don’t get any akathisia, in fact I get drowsy early in the evening. I can drink caffeine. It handles my symptoms better. The main negative is my libido is up and down, mostly down. I know we’re all different, but I say it is worth a shot.
