Replace the expensive invega injection with invega pills

Hi everyone I am wondering is it possible to replace the invega sustenna injection with pills while getting the same results?

I dont see a reason for taking the injection because I accept taking the medications and know that if it is not taken it can cause relapse and insomnia. Now can the pills effectively replace the injection if yes what dose should be taken?

I don’t see why not. I switched from invega injection to abilify pills and it’s working out fine. As for the dosage, I think that is a question for your doctor.

The article does state however, that risk of relapse was higher on oral.

Im on invega but if i was taking the pills one day i would probably not take them and so on

Ask your Dr what dose in pills you need I sometimes switch between the pills and the injection and don’t have any trouble

A former friend of mine who took the invega in injection switched to pills because the antipsychotic effect didn’t stay the 3 week of the month. He went from 150 mg xepition depo to 9 mg invega by mouth and is doing well.

Yes it’s possible but if you decide to go off the pills they’ll put you back on the injection. It’s a matter of trust.
