Please Please help me urgently

Hi everyone how are you ok so i have been taking antipsychotics for 4 years and currently on invega sustenna and seroquel.

i have been taking invega sustenna 100 mg with 3 mg pill since 2 years. my question is

how do i switch from injection to pill only without having withdrawal also how many mg of the pill should i take.

please help me urgently.

You need to do this under your psychiatrist’s supervision. They will have to create a plan for you.

Your pdoc can help you make the switch safely

My pdoc won’t let me switch from Invega injection to oral. He says I need to be compliant on injection for 2 years before oral meds.

Yeah, that’s something for your psychiatrist to decide. That being said, it’s not hard to switch between injection and pill without withdrawal because the injection takes awhile to work it’s way out of your system. I switched very smoothly from invega injection to Abilify pills.

yea you’ll have to talk about it with your pdoc… the injection stays in the blood for a while so you need to get a plan about how much pills and when to take them and such…

Thanks for the info guys, I’m planning on talking to my new doctor about switching from Risperdal Consta shots to Risperdal pills.

A friend of mine was on 150 mg sustena and his doctor switched him to 9 mg of Invega. That means you should be on the same amount. But what ever you do you must first ask your doctor for permission.

He must have good reason. I’d roll with it.
