Everytime i took zyprexa in the past i gained about 30 pounds and the fat seemed to redistribute to my waist. What i’m wondering tho is if i could manage to not gain weight with it, would my waist size still increase?
Has anyone taken zyprexa (olanzapine) and not gained weight? If u didn’t did u notice any changes to ur fat distribution?
Yep, gained 30 pounds in my gut and got some nice ugly stretch marks. Only way to lose it is go off the medicine temporarily and that has too many risks.
I just have to accept having a gut now. I mean, it fixes most of my symptoms so it’s a good trade off I suppose.
That drug is screwed my dude. I was on that at the state hospital recently. If it’s possible avoid it. I’m doing better now. Going through one hell of an interesting journey. Hopefully it leads to the top!
Well, i think, that am subscribed to this med… Its the only one, who works relatively for me and i tolerate it better than other aps…
At first, i put 30 kilos on it though… I got the stretch marks, the belly, even still now the wider face… The thing is that i managed to lose weight even on it for an year, i lost 15 kilos with eating just less quantity in food… But if i keep eating more than twice a day, i’ll put weight again, its very fattening yeap…
And now my legs are skinny, but my torso and my belly very big, its quite disproportionate… But we have no choice, as my pdoc said, around that illness, i should make some sacrifices… 
But yeah, i really lost 15 kilos even on it, its posssible 
For the rest, you can fix the rest with more sport or movement, but me too am quite sedentary still and maybe i’ll always be it a bit…
My best friend, who is sz too, also once lost weight on zyprexa.
