Does anyone notice any memory loss while taking Wellbutrin? I’ve been thinking of asking my doctor for a low dose, as low as possible A while ago, he mentioned I should consider trying it. I guess I’ve reached the end of my rope. I just want to feel good. I’m on Abilify, and my memory wasn’t the best, even before that. I’m a bit worried about adding another drug.
It doesn’t improve or worsen memory. I was on 150mg for a month, made positive symptoms a bit worse and didn’t help negative and cognitive symptoms.
I guess you lose nothing by trying it.
You never know how it’s going to go with a new drug,
But I’ve had great success with Wellbutrin.
Helping with my depression, weight and vaping habit.
I think it’s worth a try.
No side effects from Wellbutrin at all. Wonder drug.
If you have depression it will help, its an antidepressant. I don’t have depression but sz negative symptoms which sucks as there is no meds for those. I wish I had depression instead.
Maybe I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the replies, everyone!
If you are really worried about your memory and want a relatively simple way to boost it why not try fish oil? I was prescribed fish oil by my pdoc for mood and by my Dr. for cholesterol and after about 2 months of taking it I noticed a dramatic change in my working memory
I was to the point where I couldn’t even hold 2 numbers in my head and couldn’t balance my checking account. Now I can hold long numbers in my head and balance my checking account to the penny every month.
I can remember conversations better and my focus is much better.
All I take is 1000 mg of fish oil. You can get fancy stuff if you want, they sell all kinds in different price ranges on Amazon and it used to be that I was getting mine through the pharmacy and Medicare was paying for it with a small co-pay but I didn’t want to hassle with going to the pharmacy so I just buy it online.
Maybe it’s something you could look into for your memory.
Thanks for the tip. Right now, I’m taking two Jamieson Omega-3 mini capsules a day (they’re not tiny, but not horse-pills either, I can swallow them with some milk). I don’t know if they help me any. I haven’t noticed anything, but I take them to reduce cholesterol (which is getting too high).
how long have you been taking them? Have you noticed an improvement?
I started taking them when covid started. They may have reduced my depression a bit, during the winter, but I still have trouble remembering what my mom says to me on the phone. I take vitamin D too.
