Fish oil for concentration

I’ve been taking fish oil for about 3 weeks to help lower my ldl cholesterol. As a side effect I noticed I have better concentration and maybe a little better mood overall. Just thought I would mention it in case someone wants to try it.

I take it too for mood symptoms. It’s great for depression and I think there is a decent amount of literature that it helps with sz, and concentration.

It’s one of the only supplements my Pdoc recommends.

I’ve taken fish oil for so long I don’t notice anything. I take cheap stuff and in the am I take expensive trigycleride fish oil. That’s the natural form found in fish. I get it from vital choice.

Fish oil is really starting to repair what ever brain dammage happened to my brain. Im not joking. I’ve been on it seven months and it’s still getting better. I have improved mental state and starting to feel better. I started taking it because it can help lower blood pressure a little and schizo often die of heart disease so we need it bad. Was not expecting it to help my brain so much. I found online that the American psychiatric association now recommend that patients take it for almost any mental illness. Funny how I’ve seen several psychatrists for 10 years now and not one ever mentioned fish oil. I feel like I’ve really been robbed not knowing about how good fish oil is for so long.

I don’t have the link but I read fish oil + choline supplements are really beneficial for cognition.

What brand do you guys take. There’s a ton on Amazon. The non gmo are pretty pricey.

I get mine at Walmart. Spring something brand.

Yeah fishoil is good. I wish I had kept taking it. I can always start again.

My psydoc got me on it years ago. He’d seen some promising studies from Australia for adhd children and fish oil helping with concentration. Took it for years and didn’t really notice any difference. Might try it again whilst I’m far more motivated. There is some decent science behind it.

I’ve been on prescription strength EPA fish oil for years now.
My depression has improved.

Please do. To be honest with you some people notice improvement and some dont notice anything. But it’s worth a shot.

Never noticed that fish oil did much of anything beyond give me the trots if I took too much. My concentration suffers if I stop using rosemary oil in the diffuser or ditch my sarcosine. Fish oil, not so much.
