Question about disabled review

I’ve taken classes online for my interests but I’m not able to actually go to college. Haven’t been able to. Can’t keep concentration. So when they asked if I’d gone back to school I checked no. I’ve not done any studies for a degree. I’ve already mailed my review out. What do I do?

I think you’re okay.

I would only mention studies if they are part of a formal qualification.

Whew :disappointed_relieved:! Thank you . That’s what I was thinking too.

But I’m not sure of the formal rules in the US.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that you would have to mention a 10 hour language course.

I’ve studied on Alison.com and udemy.com. Not towards a degree though. I don’t think I’d fair well in actual school. I can’t see me finishing an online degree.

I think you would do well in a languages degree. Maybe as a translator?

If you can get the funding you could always consider it.

My dream job would be to work as a translator for refugees. Or in immigration. Not a lot of money in it but,

Can you afford Rosetta Stone? It’s supposed to be a really good way to learn foreign languages.

Or the programs you already like are probably good too

I used to work as a volunteer translator.

It was very rewarding

I say go for it!

Get a tv channel to watch in the language you want to translate, read books in that language, and do classes. It all helps

That’s awesome :star_struck:!! What languages do you speak?

You just need to know 2 languages fluently! English and one of your choice (spanish, isn’t it?)

Spanish and English only.

I translated for kids that came to a local hospital from 3rd world countries who needed facial plastic surgery and their parents.

I showed them cool stuff in America like large grocery stores and malls, and how to use pop machines, elevators, and escalators, stuff like that.

It was awesome.

I stopped after a man I translated for and a boy in his care attacked me after work one night.

I fought him off for hours.

I haven’t spoken Spanish since

Taking the type of language classes you’re doing online are not what they mean by school. Don’t worry

Thanks. I took other classes too. Like I took one course learning about the science of soil. Just I was curious. Ot was an interesting class. It was free so no college credit. I’m fine with those type of classes but if I had to turn on homework on time that would be very difficult for me.
