Hi, i currently have a delusion i at least think it may be a delusion (i am pretending it is) that my neighbours are calling me a psychopath.
a - is this a delusion ?
b - what is a psychopath ?
c - good day to everyone by the way !
Psychopaths lack empathy and have No remorse. Google antisocial personality disorder. Sounds like a delusion to me.
Hi, thanks for your reply, i am not a psychopath then at least… phew…
i definitely have empathy - i deeply care about the safety and health of others and definitely
have remorse - i have yelled at voices and felt excessively bad about the feelings of real people i could have harmed…
a psychopath is typically a highly successful,
unfeeling,
cunning,
and manipulative person.
Other times, it shows up in criminals,
but not always.
Hi and thanks for your reply
well…
a- my emotions are all over the place
b- i am rather not smart (i think)
c- i would never get someone else to do something for me without a good reason or way to recompense their good deed or whatever the situation has…
If you’ve ever thought about murdering something or screwing somebody over then got that feeling in your chest that says “this doesn’t feel right.” Then no you are not a psychopath. If you don’t get that feeling then well you are indeed a great mystery in the existence of being. But yes its probably a delusion. Its weird to think about though but killing things lower on the food chain without remorse also doesn’t qualify as psychopathy. I guess psychopathy only applies to inner species and since humans r one of the few animals that have the capability or know how of preying on each other we are one of the few animals out there that can technically qualify as psychopaths.
yep i just tried it - i definitely get the - its wrong feeling ! thanks for that and hi as well.
actually it even felt wrong to think about it…
many wonder if brains differ with such conditions,
either ours, sz.
or psychopath in varying degrees.
The two are often times mixed which is not the truth at all.
But I wouldn’t trust a brain test, a neighbor, a family member or a friend
to pinpoint my ailment.
They are only useful when symptoms rob you blind, and can’t see it.
Hi, thanks for your reply
somewhat complex sounding though…
oh, and i think the delusion may be that i am hearing my neighbours at all…
And yes many billionaires/successful people could be considered psycho/socipaths. But not being a psychopath doesn’t make you any less smart, it just means your not gonna cause a highway of destruction and deceit to get what you want. Would being a psychopath or sociopath in the world we live in be easier, probably, but does the journey of a psychopath cause countless amounts of pain toward others, also probably. The most troubling part of the psychopath is they either don’t care or don’t even realize they are causing harm. But in the spectrum of the universe its also not their fault. They just weren’t born with that “switch.” Imagine going your whole life as a psychopath and one day that switch just magically turns on which it never does. But imagine the excruciating pain, remorse and guilt of a whole lifetime worth of your actions. We non psychopaths are extremely lucky in a way because we get to have that release when we do something wrong in the form of remorse and guilt. If you want to look at it religiously or spiritually the rest of us have the ability to repent for our actions while psychopaths go their whole lives without any form of spiritual release through “negative” emotions. Theres probably a good reference to karma in there as well
Psychopaths feel tremendous negative emotions, but only for themselves. They have huge empathy for themselves, but they are unable to feel empathy for others. They have no remorse for things they do to others, but they do feel huge regret for mistakes they made that caused themselves to lose out or suffer. It is the inability ot compute the feelings, needs and pain of others that is their problem. Typically they are cunningly maniputative because they want to get what they want the way they want it, and they manage to get others to give them their way. They can’t see any wrong in that because they can’t relate to someone else’s feelings, pain or suffering.
I’m a psychopath then?
Hi, thanks for your reply
does that not sound like a more peaceful way to be to anyone, but yes definitely not me thankfully.
very informative reply here, thanks again !
If you’re curious you can look up the hare checklist. See if you fit a lot of the criteria or not.
lo! everyone thinks I’m a psychopath, even when I get specific and say “well para schizo isn’t really specifically being a psycho.”
R u on the juice?
The fact that you are worried about being a psychopath means that you are probably not a psychopath. All the psychopaths I’ve met will cheerfully tell you that they are evil. They can maintain a facade of goodness, or even saintliness, when it suits their purpose, but if there is no reason not to, they will say flat out - “Don’t ever turn your back on me, because it wouldn’t bother me a bit to hurt or kill you.”
my medication is not liquid, so no. taking liquid medication might actually be a nice adjustment, assuming that it would taste good like orange juice or some fruit
Psychopaths are complex
But if you were never told you were one and replied with an eff you, then you probably aren’t one.
Borderline personalities often think they are evil. It’s when they actually are male and truly cold inside that they aren’t borderline and are actually psychopaths.
For example, a psychopath will do stuff like smoke two packs a day and graduate summa cum laude in a competitive environment like an elite research team, then mindfuck a coffee date for kicks, and then go home and take a handful of downers on some vodka and then wake up, take another handful of downers with a pot of coffee and write another section of their award winning thesis in therapy before 11am, then lift weights for two hours, then smoke two packs again.
They also do all of this â– â– â– â– without getting in trouble, that, or they die of it by age thirty.
Some of them go an learn empathy, but they get written off as exceptions to the rule- they aren’t acknowledged because they proceed to live normally and put their past behind them.
If this sounds shocking but hearing voices doesn’t, then don’t worry, you’re fine.
If you identify with this example, you need help.
