Pseudodementia

Pdoc said it seems my depression state after the psychosis is presenting as pseudodementia (cognitive issues). I think its an old term for severe depression affecting cognitive functions but anyway he said i need to double down on getting more active or it could be a while til it improves.

So im increasing my activities and forcing myself to do more things and stretch the ole brain.

Ive been struggling to do basic tasks like how to wash dishes, laundry, put things away or really any thing with some multiple steps process i just blank out and dont really remember what to do.
So i was writing instructions on how to do basic stuff and setting a timer for it etc.
Couldnt remember how to navigate on a map.

Basically difficulty organizing thoughts. Its like operating with a broken gps lol.

Anyway im goin in to battle to defeat this monstaa.

I hope you and your doctor can sort it out.

vortioxetine is mentioned in the article above.

Pharmacological intervention
When it comes to antidepressants, vortioxetine is a drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2013 for major depressive disorder that is similar to a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, and it has emerged as a promising potential treatment for the cognitive symptoms of depression. Preclinical animal studies and extensive randomised controlled trials have demonstrated that vortioxetine can notably enhance cognition in patients with depression who have achieved remission, independent of its antidepressant properties.

Best of luck @LevelJ1

I’m cutting down on my nicotine strength vape and I can feel a little cognitive decline.

It’s important for us to exercise our minds.

Good luck @LevelJ1
