Mine is usually 95/60 or something terrible like that. It takes me a few tries to stand up some days. It has been like this since birth. Most doctors act like it is an accomplishment, instead of a problem, which is annoying.

Mine was 116/68 last time I was at the Dr but I take low dose bp and cholesterol meds. Bp and cholesterol were highest on Zyprexa, since then I take these meds.

I don’t know how to read bp. They say mine is a little high. But I’m obese

I don’t know my numbers bc that’s how bad my short term/working memory is… coupled with the fact that I trust my doctor… but I am treated for it, am on two different meds.

Something i need to learn is that when I tried to donate blood which I’ve done sort of historically they said coffee made my blood pressure too high, but my primary says there is no correlation.

It’s just another thing like ‘do multivitamins just cause expensive urine’. I feel like it’s tough to find a straight answer when I’ve asked my BIL who is a doctor…

Most blood pressure cuffs are automatic nowadays, but if you have a manual one this is how it works.

  • Wrap the blood pressure cuff around your upper arm, with the gauge facing teh inner part of the elbow
  • place the stethescope halfway under the cuff along the main artery in the arm. You can find it by going to the inner part of the elbow, then listening for it witht eh stethescope.
-Twist the pump into the inflate position (clockwise)
  • Pump the cuff up until the pressure on the gauge reads around 180 (maybe higher maybe lower depending. My doctor knows me well enough to only inflate mine to 130)
  • slightly twist the pump adjuster so the air slowly deflates, and listen for a heartbeat
  • When you hear the blood pumping loudly, mark the position of the gauge. This is your upper number
  • When you stop hearing the loud heartbeat, mark the position on the gauge. This is your lower number.

So for example, if you start hearing the beat at 125, and stop hearing it at 73, the person has a BP of 125/73

Poll has multiple option.one option for your top blood pressure (systolic) one option for low blood pressure.its like 120(high)(top) (systolic) / 80 (low) ( diastolic)
