I know this has been done a million times but- Do you have schizophrenia, schizoaffective bipolar type or schizoaffective depression type?

I have sza depressive type.

I was first diagnosed with Schizophrenia, then during my 2nd psychosis they determined it was Schizoaffective.

Mine went from bipolar to schizophrenia to schizoaffective bipolar type to schizoaffective depressive type

Oh gosh lol well hopefully they’re right this time, but like we always say on here- doesn’t really matter as long as your meds are working😄

I used to have the diagnosis psychosis NOS. Now it’s schizophrenia.

I was first diagnosed schizoaffective, but my last diagnosis was schizophrenia.

Why did they change it to schizophrenia? Did you go into another psychosis? I’m curious to know how they determine the difference

So true. I think the diagnosis is right this time most providers say im sza depressive type. It just took time to find the right diagnosis.

In the beginning it was psychosis. Then they said it was chronic psychosis and ultimately my pdoc said ‘can be considered as schizophrenia’.

I guess after a decade of symptoms they consider it to be life long.

Im on vraylar, seroquel, buspar, and prozac for mental health.

Lol. Vrayar is my antipsychotic for the psychosis. Prozac for depression. Buspar and seroquel for anxiety.

I have schizophrenia and still experiencing paranoia mainly and I’m on meds for it and my anxiety.
