Mine is very high even on my currrent high dose risperidone 5mg and even on 6mg. My prolactin is high and testosterone is under the normal range yet its still high, I don’t understand. Its annoying to have a high sex drive and on Abilify it was so high it made me breakup with my gf and later got in trouble and risked getting stds because I wanted sex every 2hrs.

Oh I’m not to hot to trot, so I said medium. I can function now that I’m on Abilify and not Risperdal.

I wanted sex while my gf was at work and I couldn’t control myself so went to massage parlors and wasted all my saved money from since I started working at 14y.o.

Compared to how it is off meds I would have to say very low, which is a bit sad since I can’t show a proper interest if there is someone I like. I mean libido is part of how the psyche works in a general context. So when the libido is low you don’t radiate the same kind of energy or think the way you should about things in a romatic context.

Is it high if i can’t go a week without watching porn? Prozac kind of ruined my orgasms though. Some guys on reddit said the pleasure came back after months or even years. Stupid med just made me manic and ruined my sexual pleasure. It used to be very high before only on risperidone like i had lots of sexual thoughts.

Yea I used to masturbate 6 consecutive times. I had sex addiction. High dose risperidone made me closer to normal.

Yea and the worst part is that then I had pain in my balls that lasted hours. I should have told my Dr about this addiction but now its fixed by risperidone.

If I rub one out it is mostly just to clear the plumbing so I don’t wake up with a mess in my pants every three months.

i do have increased desire on abilify compared to other meds.
there’s a 2016 FDA (food and drug administration dep of government) article link around the internet saying abilify in rare cases makes some people have increase in hypersexuality. I feel I am one of those rare cases.

On my other past meds like the old school ones -looking at you haldol- it destroyed my sex drive. same with zyprexa.

I love sex with my boyfriend but when I’m by myself I’m pretty asexual.

I don’t think about sex, don’t masturbate etc but my boyfriend can get me going.

I haven’t experienced the drive to have sex in years, EXCEPT when I was taking testosterone while attempting to transition as a transgendered person. The testosterone made me constantly crave sexual stimulation, to the effect that I’d self -pleasure 3-4 times a day. I constantly thought about sex…it was kind of amazing in a good way, but I had to discontinue the testosterone cuz it was also triggering psychosis. After they stopped it my libido went back to nonexistent.

Now that I’m not on Risperdal depot anymore and am on oral risperidone instead, I’ve gotten a little bit of my horniness back. But not enough to act on it.
