The Moderators and @SzAdmin have been reviewing and discussing forum guidelines regarding religious posts.
To better help us understand the perspectives of our forum members regarding allowing or not allowing religious posts on the forum, I have created several anonymous polls to help start the discussion.

Poll #4: Do you personally find religious posts to be triggering?
My comment might have been to ugly, let me rephrase
Please do not change the forum, we don’t need religion here, it will only lead to fights and more work for the moderators
Everybody think they have the true beliefs and people are to stubborn to acknologe that other people might think different then them
So its gonna lead to fight over the true belief plus anonymous religious people are toxic
I am not religious but in an ideal world I see no problem with a polite/non preaching/non trying to convert discussion of religion.
However when it comes to psychosis/schizophrenia we are not talking about an ideal world. Religious based delusions are quite common with psychosis/schizophrenia and we should not be encouraging or exacerbating delusional thought.
So far roughly 1 in 11 people would be triggered by religious posts. It may not seem much but even with a user base of 2000 people that would be 180 people who could be made more ill.
And for what I wonder? For the entertainment of a few religious people who feel good talking about how they are miraculously became better after praying to some god
I want to begin by expressing my appreciation to the Moderators and @SzAdmin for asking the members for our feedback on this topic.
Religion is a cornerstone of my life, and the lives of many Americans. That said, I do believe that a significant number of our members have/had delusions regarding religion and/or been subjected to harmful, misguided attempts to cure their psychosis by family and/or friends.
As much as I would like to talk about my faith, I do feel that allowing any talk regarding religion (including atheism and agnosticism) will be opening a Pandora’s box.
