POLL: do you think humans will ever colonize another solar system?

Maybe already done with Secret Space Program (SSP)??!! :alien: :flying_saucer:

There’s a theory where you can travel faster than the speed of light, I’ll share the wikipedia page for it

So yes, I think we will go to another solar system

I’m going to be optimistic and say we will. It won’t be easy but it is possible.

This is interesting. I was actually going to say earlier in this thread, that the possibility might exist to pinch SpaceTime. Effectively creating a wormhole

Interestingly enough, if light were travelling through the same Wormhole, the same relation would still apply. Light would be exponentially faster than the craft. However, light passing around the outside edges of the Wormhole would still take the same amount of time to reach the destination. Just an interesting note

If we could get there fast enough, without dying of old age on the way. We’d also need to be able to terraform another planet. How close is the nearest other planet in a goldilocks zone?

Wormholes are an aberration of science fiction. No human has travelled beyond the moon’s orbit of the Earth. How does one find a wormhole if there is such a thing in the first place. How do humans travel to a wormhole (if there is such a thing) if humans cannot even reach Mars, Saturn, Jupiter etc. at all?

@Lenny A very plausible theory but no actual material physics to support that travelling in this mode will work.

I think we are nearing our last generation as it is right here

Wormholes are just theoretical phenomenon, yes. The math predicts their existence, but it doesn’t mean it’s real. It’s just a fun concept, and would make space travel possible… theoretically speaking

Mars may be the best.

i think not, i think it would take too long to get there, and even if we could travel at higher speeds, the human body can’t withstand that probably,

i think it’s more likely for me to be reborn in another solar system. i hope the sun is purple there. or maybe blue sun, purple sky, that would be cool also.

We will populate other solar systems, but I think it would be a one way trip, with little communication afterwards

Maybe if we can bend space time, we might be able to do it, but that’s probably a way off

To be fair, the rate at which we’re over populating, this is being put at risk.

The next big wars will be over water, and it will get messy

Hoping for the best, but expect the worst.

what if you went on an intergalactic journey and the first place you came across was the next bfe haha.

i would think, i should have never left amsterdam.

I have thought of this before. The only way I can see us reaching another solar system, is to send a group of enough biodiversity, that the the children aren’t born deformed. It might take 30 or 40 generations to reach another star with our best technology.
Pretty ambitious, and no coming back
