APs help me in a few ways but just not really sure if they touch my paranoia specifically
I’m on Abilify and I’ve noticed a spike in paranoia since I started taking it.
One and even two AP’s don’t touch my paranoia. I have to be on a total of three AP’s to rid myself of my paranoia. One of which is a depot injection. But, it works!
Yeah w the first AP I tried, abilify, I noticed I wasn’t getting paranoia anymore. It was the first time I ever saw a beneficial effect from a med so it stood out to me as pretty cool.
Not all APs I’ve tried have helped with my paranoia though. For example geodon did not at all. Ideally you want a med that hits hard on all the symptoms that bother you the most.
Yes I think they help paranoia. They make me feel normal.
I ve no paranoia
So i dont know
I’m with @anon26860655. I have normal amounts of paranoia. I don’t think you can get rid of it completely.
Definitely. I just switched meds and paranoia started creeping in. We raised my dose and I’m so much better now. I’m on Invega 6mg.
I have no paranoia @TheBest.
I don’t get paranoia anymore on my med
Huh. Well I guess I could improve then. I thought most people without a mental illness had a little bit of paranoia. That’s why you like the Seroquel so much @anon26860655.
Risperidone gets rid of my paranoid delusions but not my everyday milder paranoid ideation.
It definitely reduces it, but no antipsychotic I’ve tried has made it go away completely.
I don’t think they totally get rid of it , but they lessen the intensity and the emotional reactivity associated with it.
Paliperidone 12 mg reduces my paranoia somewhat, but not perfectly.
I’m on 30 mg of Haldol and it does nothing for my paranoia.
Neither did 20 mg of Zyprexa, 30 mg of Abilify or 160 mg of Geodon.
Gina has shared her cocktail with me before, and I’m intrigued, but I don’t think I’d ever be awake on that many APs. The Haldol alone kicks my butt.
Saphris helps me, though it doesn’t eliminate it. Without it, I am scared that every single person that comes near wants to kidnap me. I am paranoid about other things, but that was the worst.
I used to take risperdone. I had no paranoia.
Now I’m on geodon and my paranoia sets in about 4:00 p.m.
I take meds at 5:00 p.m. and I’m usually back on track around 7:00 p.m.
im a paranoid person, but some of it just boils down to my personality. abilify takes me back to the baseline level of paranoia i had before things worsened
I’ve been on Abilify shots for a little while, which helped some with paranoia, though I still had quite a bit. Adding oral Haldol helped further reduce it, even at the low dose I take.
