Can AP's cause anxiety

I used to have anxiety when I was on Risperdal and had to take Klonopin for it. Now that I am on Abilify the anxiety is gone, and I no longer need the Klonopin. Nothing really changed except for my AP. Has this happened to anyone else?

Im on risperdal consta, i dont think i have anxiety.

I think antipsychotics can both treat anxiety and cause it.

APs can cause anxiety. It’s a rare side effect.

For most it will lower anxiety.

APs’ one hat is to decrease dopamine on the brain. Haldol decreases by 80% or more. Of course dosage is key. any AP overdosed can go over 80% and cause even Parkinson’s temporarily. Anyways, less than 60% decrease don’t work. 70% is ideal. Over 80% you get extra piramidal side effects such as akathisia. I had it for 20 years. It brings extreme anxiety. So, APs may cause akathisia. Anxiety I don’t think so unless by means of akathisia.
