I got sent an application form which has to be sent back. It’s just a few check boxes if anything has changed in my condition.
It was a nightmare getting pip even though I have sz and epilepsy and was living in supportive housing at the time. (I had to go to court to appeal it)
I’m wondering how difficult the process is going to be to renew it. I don’t feel ready to go back to work. I’m hoping to start a work rehabilitation program next year where I will do maybe one shift a week. (Not 40 hours)
As far as if anything has changed. A few weeks ago I was with the crisis team due to a relapse and change of medication.
I will speak to my nurse on Friday. Just wondering if anyone here had problems renewing theirs.
Ive just had a pip renewel form as well “how your disabilty affects you” which i got my Pdoc to write a covering letter with.
That was a month ago but now ive got another form asking if my disabiltys have got better or worse. I just signed it and gave it to my support worker to fill in.
Hes a trained social worker and hes confident i will still get it - but im not so sure. Its been worrying me so much i just left it for them to deal with. Strangly enough tho i have not been asked for a face 2 face assessment yet. I will be royally screwed with my bills if i dont get it so im just putting my faith in my support worker to deal with it for me. Ive had PIP for about a year so i was always in the back of my mind whether they would ask again.
Im also diagnosed with BPD as well as Paranoid Sz so im hoping that will work in my favour and im gonna have a carer for 6hours a week soon once the funding is sorted
so i hope my condion will let me keep it.
Dont you have a support worker/MH nurse that could help you fill it in?
Yes she is coming on Friday (my nurse). I will ask her. But it’s only a few questions with tick boxes. I’ll ask her what to put though cause I’m not too sure. Just hope I don’t have problems cause like you I will be screwed on bills.
