PIP Benefit - If you get it

I am sorry if this does not belong here. But it has been announced that there will be some changes to the system. I kinda agree, if I can work with reasonable adjustments in place, I should and will get a job. But I am worried my benefit will be taken away from me and I’ll have no money coming my way. I have applied for a review, and I don’t even have a cpn or a pdoc currently, so I am incredibly scared.

As it stands people can work and claim PIP for any health conditions they have.

I get PIP but i am in the review process, so it can be taken away even if I need it they can give me a score of 0, lie and take it away. I will ask for a script if they ask me to come in.

I’m also in a review process.

Either way, we’ll be fine.

I hope you get through it ok @Jonathan2 and get the support you need.

They are very very behind. Be prepared to wait a year.

That means I will be getting it for the next year, but I still need the paper work of them telling me that  hopefully they send something nearer to the renewal date

If it goes in your favour they will back pay it should you be entitled to an increase

The current announcement has really scared me. Hopefully it doesn’t affect anyone of us here.
