When you get to be this old you got a lot under your belt. Couple years ago he took a job at the Marriott hotel. I drove him there before he had his licence. One day he ironed his pants and went in and they let him go. So sad he even ironed his pants. Not easy for a guy with no teeth.

We were desperate he was only making 9 dollars an hour.

I got fired in May because to quote what he said was “ Cindy you come in here like a zombie and you just don’t have what it takes to move up or get a raise”
I worked manual labor sh it jobs all my life and because I needed the money so bad I worked them like I was getting 20$ a hour
And the reality of it all was I was barely making enough to buy groceries and gas to get me thru another week. I feel for ya those low end jobs will starve you death.

Could you have come after them for disability? I know a lawyer costs though. There’s legal aid. Not sure honey sorry that happened.

Thank you @Daze I applied for ssdi after that and waiting to go see their psych dr and medical dr in September.
I decided I ain’t going back in the work force I did my time now I’m 55 and just sick of it
Plus I got a diagnosis of chronic paranoid schizophrenia and hoping that will be enough to get ssdi.
I really do feel for everyone working those minimum wage jobs. They work you to death like their paying high dollars to you
