I think this can be an extremely satisfying and enjoyable job as long as you feel you can get on with all kinds of people and have a certain level of confidence. You’ve got this. Nice choice in work!

Good luck with the application process

My psychiatrist would like me to become an “experience expert” but I just feel too uncomfortable with people.

Good luck with it. I once had a great peer support specialist. I had her for 2 years. She was great.

@anon80629714 in the 3 years I’ve been coming here you’ve been supportive and have given me sound advice, you have experience doing this already through sz.com in a way and you would be fantastic at it I think. Good luck.

Last time i was hospitalized, there was a peer support worker at the hospital. He was schizophrenic too. I would have been lonely if he hadn’t been there.

Without him, it would be just me and all the drug addicts.

Wish you luck!
