Does anyone here take or used to take Paxil? I would like to know your experiences with Paxil.
I was on it briefly in high school. In conjunction w ritalin. Didnt do much for me.

It didn’t help me much I took it in my teens though.

Honestly I don’t recall why my psychiatrist wanted me to be on it at the time I think that at the time it was considered something that could potentially help with the Ritalin? It’s also possible that I’m misremembering and I was on Wellbutrin instead

I took it for a year. I had extreme hunger and it didn’t work but don’t let that deter you, I have heard it affects others well.

I think I will ask my dr for cymbalta or Paxil. I am having too much bad anxieties.

I was on paxil cr for like 5 yrs it helped with my panic attacks and anxiety.

I’m on paxil because of panic- attacks. It doesn’t work though. I still get them. I am afraid of going off them because of withdrawals.

I was on it a long time ago for several months. I became hypomanic and hypersexual. Which is weird because it caused me to be unable to orgasm but I was still hypersexual. I got myself into an enormous amount of debt that I could never pay off and was eventually sued over several years later. It was an expensive drug for me but YMMV.

Paxil has helped me a lot. It has significantly lowered my anxiety and improved my mood.
From what I understand, Paxil has the strongest serotonin receptor blockage of any SSRI, which can make it a very effective med.
It has a short half-life, which makes it a hard drug to come off of.

I’m 50
Years ago age 28 I went on seroxat and noticed benefits almost immediately it worked well for a good 15 years then I didn’t feel good so changed to duloxetine but I think seroxat worked better
