Does anyone take Paxil?

I take Paxil for anxiety and panic disorder. It helps a lot. Since I started working with the public my anxiety has increased tenfold. I’m thinking of going up on my dosage.

I have a doc appt on Thursday. One perk of my new job at the health clinic is I don’t have to take time off work to see the doctor.

Does anyone take Paxil? I find it’s really effective. The downside is it’s hard to come off because of its short half life. Paxil withdrawal is literally psychosis inducing.

I was on paxil a year and it didn’t help and made me voraciously hungry.

Paxil is the first drug I ever took following my first appointment with a mental health professional. I remember the pills were pink I think. Shortly after being put on it I heard my first voices and was moved onto Antipsychotics right away. :weary:

I don’t remember the effect it had on me, sorry! :relieved:

I was on it until my insurance copay went up. Then I switched to Celexa which is free for me.

Paxil helped me as far as depression goes, but it didn’t help my anxiety. Same for Celexa.

What helped my anxiety improve a bit was when they added 1 mg of risperidone onto my 20 mg olanzapine (and 20 mg of Celexa).

I’m on paxil for panic attacks. The med does help, it decreased my sense of panic but I still get very nervous when I’m in public.

It also helps for depression but as soon as I forget to take a dosage I get really depressed.

It hasn’t helped for my GAD though. I still have anxiety.
