My anxiety is gone on oxazepam like almost completely. Im usually so awkward and self loathing but I can just let it go now Im free
I wish I could have been prescribed this sooner
What are your experiences with this med? I havent heard it prescribed often

Thanks @Bowens Im pretty swell its coincidentally made me less paranoid too so maybe my paranoia was just anxiety? 
anxiety creates stress. Stress tends to cause breakthru symptoms(paranoia) in sz/sza. That would be my guess.
I would think you might be right there. Finishing my thesis probably also helped
If it ends in “pam” it’s probably a benzo.

It’s for short term use only. If you use it long term it loses effectiveness and you become addicted to it.
Right you are. A former pdoc prescribed me Klonopin, 100 refillable ANY TIME so being the responsible idiot I am, I ate them like m&m’s, and got addicted, and detox SUCKED.
benzos are pretty effective but i had to stop taking them because i became suicidal, then had extreme withdrawal
@everhopeful I know its a benzo. Im ok with the short term use of it because I just need a reset from my anxiety

Had to google it, its a short acting benzodiazepine.
klonopin, only 0.5mg also but that is equal to the highest dose of valium 10 mg because its so strong in comprison
I have no experience with anxiety meds as I am never anxious, I am the opposite too calm and sleepy from ap sedation lol
Klonopin is stronger than valium? Damn didnt know that since I figured people abused that more. I dont think Ill get suicidal tho I only do when really reallly psychotic. SOrry you went through that man

I take 400mg of caffeine pills to combat sleepiness during the day. My dr said she will prescribe me Modafinil.
Modafinil might help with the cognitive stuff. I heard its like a much lamer version of the limitless pill lol it just helps with cognition and quickness in function supposedly. Best of luck!

I’m on 1.5mg of clonazepam (Klonopin) for insomnia every night, it’s a benzo, as a side effect it keeps me calm. It puts me to sleep for about 8 hours on average, it has a half life of up to 50 hours. I’m probably dependent on it at this point. If I am ever able to sleep naturally I am not looking forward to quitting, gotta take it really slow to avoid horrible withdrawal symptoms.
I don’t think I’ve heard of oxazepam. I just looked it up and after reading about it I would only use it PRN very occasionally so I don’t become dependent on it. Once you become dependent on a benzo coming off them is hard, you have to take it really slow, small reductions, and the withdrawal symptoms can be awful. I’ve read the longer the half life the easier it is to quit. I looked up oxazepam and it has a half life of up to 9 hours which isn’t very long so if you become dependent on it it could be very hard to quit.

My ex took (too many) benzos and within two weeks she was a wreck. Everything was catastrophised and only the benzos would bring her any solace. But then when I saw her immediately after taking them, she had about one hour of peace and then was terribly anxious, uptight and starting fights, paranoid, slamming doors in the night, worse than ever before. The next day though she couldn’t remember it. She believed she had had a nice peaceful evening thanks to her comforting wonderdrug. Her memory was obliviated. It was horrific.
@Headspark yeah this stuff makes me way tired but its worth it imo. Im prescribed 20 mg 3x per day
@Ribbon Damn Im sorry to hear that. I think itll be fine for me but I gotta be strict not to treat it like candy. Im only taking it as prescribed so far so I think Im good
