Did it help hallucinations? Do you sleep well.
Aren’t you on it?
Yes! Typical olanzapine story here, gained a lot of weight. Worked on my delusions. I’m glad I don’t have deluded thinking anymore. I just wish I had the motivation to exercise.
Did you have visual and auditory hallucinations?
I have auditory hallucinations. I hear voices and nothing has helped with that. I hear them 24/7. But as I said I’m not deluded anymore thanks to olanzapine.
Helped for hallucinations, no weight gain. Negative sides: Flat emotions, have a hard time gaining muscle, mild fatigue, some body aches.
So it don’t help voices huh
Are you sure it’s the olanzapine and not poor diet our something else?
It has taken well care of positive symptoms when I’ve been ill, but the side effects are pretty heavy. I got my weight under control with effort, but it kills motivation and libido, gives brain fog, sleep disturbances, solomnes
Nope! Nothing helped with the voices. But my voices are due to trauma from bullying.
I easily gained muscle before meds, and when I tried doing strength training now even waiting many many days to recover, I find myself getting weaker the next work out. I know it sounds weird, but it seems to be the case. Apparently others don’t have this on olanzapine, god knows what it is.
She said something about putting me on it because it more sedating
How old are you?
early 30s. My diet is ok too, I think.
Yeah, it’s pretty sedating. Most sedating of the 4 AP’s I have tried.
My invega is causing insomnia and nightmares badly.
Ok. Weird then? You are not old. I wish I could come off olanzapine. It’s a good drug for psychosis, too bad it ruins everything else.
As long as I can sleep on it and it keeps voices away.
Hopefully olanzapine will help you sleep, and also take care of symptoms.
I just started olanzapine a week ago and am titrating off clozapine, but I feel more social anxiety it seems. I am also having more food cravings. I have not had a worsening of positive symptoms, tho, so that’s good.
