Off my meds for good?

They took me off my meds and i refuse now to take any AP even if they realize it’s chronic.
The voices are actually making me feel like people can read my mind this time, but it’s not intense as i thought it would be.
What is intense is the feeling of leaving the house to buy 40$ worth of speed and going on a bender…
Actually, i’m having the idea of asking doc for ritalin.

If you are still hearing voices, why did they take you off meds?

Because they think it’s just “stress” so they agreed to take me off of them… Prematurely.

That sounds really risky. My doc waited until I had zero hallucinations for over 2 years before lowering my meds, and even still I ended up going back on them, just on different ones.

I also stopped taking APs (always under medical supervision) and I’m trying to make my peace with living with mild symptoms. I believe it can be done provided you get the right support.

Genuinely you should avoid the speed it can make things worse especially if it’s not something prescribed

Ask for your ritalin dude, don’t do 4 grams of speed, you’re going to be ■■■■■■ up. Definite if you still hear voices. That stuff makes me hear voices when I didn’t have them before taking it.

Protip: Just think of the state you’ll be in after taking it. I just come from a homies house that went on a bender, he was head down hate the world f’ed. Looking for little bits on the floor for hours

Also genuinely curious, why do you prefer hearing voices over taking a pill? I hate voices, and broadcasting thoughts out is even worse.

I don’t mind antipsychotics and voices are barable most days, but i do miss the mystic experiences.

So you quit for the mystical experience? I miss the mystical exp. but I have insomniac horror-trips that don’t stop as well.

Please think of your family and friends, it’s a quite a selfish motivation to force yourself back into psychosis. I know the madness is a seductive mistress -dare I say you can even control her from time to time- normal people or lots of people here will never understand the allure. But she’s a real ■■■■■ as well remember that.
