I quit my anti-psychotic and weed roughly 2 months ago, and every person I talk to, is thoroughly impressed and flabbergasted.
I’m so happy, even though I hear voices all the time. But I’m learning that my schizophrenia isn’t like everyone else’s. We are all different and unique.
everyone thinks they can come off meds with out a doctor’s help and feel great for a few months maybe even a few years but it always comes back and bites you in the butt.
but maybe you are right maybe you are different I wish you good luck.
Just ignore anything the voices say. You could acknowledge they are there but ignore them.
All voices good or bad are useless.
You need a solid action plan with some sort of therapy if you want to come out alright.
Like i said you guys don’t know my life. Every medication I’ve been on had made me suicidal. It’s life or death for me. I think telling me to go back on my meds is dangerous advice. I’ve been crying about the abuse i had as a kid and adult, super cathartic! I’m taking supplements and eating very healthy and have researched heavily on all this. I’m cautiously optimistic.
It’s good that you dropped the weed. Have you thought that smoking could be the reason for you being suicidal? Some people get paranoid and depressed from weed - I was like that. I think that people are just showing that they care about you… And it is essential now to carefully monitor yourself. Sleep with the one eye open that’s all I can tell.
There were just recently some new research showing that smoking weed has actually a bad outcome in adulthood - the article actually stated " it will make you a loser". That’s funny because it beats the myth about drugs&creativity and so on.
But, I mean, smoking weed just covers up the symptoms…how can you tell what’s yourreal condition from what’s drug induced? Same as with benzos - people take them to get rid of anxiety and such and they get more depressed, its such a trap.
I went through a happy period every time I got off my med’s, but I couldn’t maintain it. What you do is your choice, but you could end up back in the hospital, or worse, getting off your med’s.
