Anyone have (or had) note taking routines, to constantly jot down notes.
I used to take so many notes that were either based on delusions or completely incoherent otherwise.
So I kept trying to weed wack my way through them to hack off the ones that are not helpful, but end up getting burned out trying to go through them all.
Finally, back in November of this year I got through them all and refined about 1000 notes into something more helpful.
Looking back on it, it is kinda depressing to see the notes I accumulated in a entire decade amount to just about 20 short-medium notes with decent information. I guess that is why writers are always going at it, perhaps only 2-10% of what we write is actually worth keeping around.
I might post some of my notes if they are helpful to others.
I keep notes but only for certain things. I don’t keep any notes about the men being after me because they’d read them and know. But stuff I need to remember, like meds, diagnoses, presents I’m giving each year, where my car is…. I keep notes on them.
A lot of my notes were practically empty or full of rants.
It brings a interesting perspective to go back and find your previous ‘crazy of the month’, from many years back. It is both embarrassing and yet expressive to interact with your previous thought patterns / view points.
The sane notes I kept are based on philosophy or goals, among other things.
I know I have the right ideas, but I think my problem is something neurological that is inflamed by addiction/dopamine, which also spurred on schizophrenia. Philosophy / good ideas does not fix brain problems or solve addictions.
I will post some of my note ideas in another topic. Maybe they can help other people who have more self-agency.
