Do you keep a diary or any notebook

I keep my diary/notebook. Every night I try to write down events, thoughts and other things that happened in my life during the day. It is also helpful when I have meetings at my local psych clinic, I can go back to the events etc. of the past and discuss these openly. I find it very helpful.

YESSSSSSSSS!! Wonderful advice. I also write down my recovery goals and share them with my doctor. Current goal is to get weight back under control.

I just have a calendar on my phone for birthdays and doctor appointments and med reminders.

If I kept a diary, it would just have one entry

"Did the same thing as yesterday "

Even going to a store each day can be a different experience each day, for example, yesterday my cousin’s 14-year old daughter checked the temperature using her smart phone at the store, even so young teenage girls have an access to the world …

How many diary books do you have?

Many, actually I started making my diary entries already when I was 18, I am now 50 in this year, but during many years I did not keep diaries, but then I recorded my daily activities in minicassettes when I studied in Michigan, back in Feb 1999 I started keeping my paper diaries, I like this diary keeping, it is a good way to prepare for my psych meetings.

Actually back in 1985 when I was 18 I was told to keep diaries, and so I did …

lol did they check your diary to make sure you were keeping it.

Hi Pixel, do you set your goals using the SMART goals approach?

I use a journal to log any weird events that I should report to my psychiatrist, otherwise I might forget them. I give my journal to my psychiatrist at appointments.

I also made a journal form to use if I lose my journal (which I do quite frequently).

I keep a Lectio Divina notebook where I record my daily prayers to God. I have stacks of these notebooks. They record God’s communications with me. And my converse with Him. These notebooks are very precious to me. I am willing them to my niece when I die. She is studying to be a preacher. She already knows about them although she’s never seen them.
