I don’t like insanity, I think it will make people run away. Chronic psychosis is ok, but I think people are scared of the word “psychosis” and “psychotic” too. The main problem is that people are under educated about mental health, so no matter what you call it, it will become bad in the minds of other people. What we need to do is educate people about mental health. Especially in relation to crime (i.e. there is very little relation, so I’ve read).

I think insane sounds more like very weird than violent/lunatic. It is also very ancient and widespread, sure people will run away but they do even more if it is a name they don’t know like sz…
