I am not too happy right now I worked really hard to lose weight and gained some of it back not a lot mind you a lot 3 to 4 pounds. But still its a lot to me especially when I have been going to the gym regularly three days a week working my butt off to keep weight off only to gain some weight back not happy at all its frustrating and disappointing as hell for me. Was doing so good now I am moody and depressed and frustrated and annoyed as well. Anyone else feel this way and what did you do to overcome those thoughts and feelings?
CDC recommends 150 min of excercise per week. 75 if your working out really hard. These are just recomendations tho.
But if you’re putting on weight and your exercise routine hasn’t changed it means you’re consuming too many calories.
I have the same problem in the winter. I tend to pork up, then shed weight in the summer. Maybe this is what’s happening to you. Idk
GL tho
muscle weighs more than fat…if you are gaining muscle you are going to gain weight a little I think…I 'm no doctor…so don’t listen to me…I d k actually…haha
@jukebox is right. When you lose fat by working out, you replace it with muscle. The number on the scale might not change much. If you want to measure your progress, taking measurements might be better. Or just see how your clothes fit. As you replace fat with muscle, your clothes will get looser, since muscle takes up less space.
When I was working out my qeight didn’t budge, but I got slimmer and lost my belly a lot. But my arms and legs got thicker, less flab, and my core got hard. I was 219 but oooked a lot slimmer. My stamina really increased, too. I figured the muscle I gained was replacing the fat fast.
I eat 1200 calories a day and exercise 5 days a week. I’ve lost 71 pounds since May. It’s possible to work out and lose weight, but you have to eat enough protein and restrict calories. Not necessarily 1200 calories though. There are calorie calculators online that can tell you how many calories to eat per day.
Don’t be bummed out @ImprisonedSpirit1
I’ve been on a strict diet but have gained 2 pounds lately.
This happens when I eat too many carbs.
Gaining 3 or 4 pounds is not the end of the world.
It could be that you are gaining water weight or muscle mass.
Don’t give up!
Thanks to everyone for your replies. Its just frustrating to not see the scale go down and stay down and I know muscle weighs more than fat maybe that is the case with me I’m losing fat but gaining muscle. I will continue doing what I have bene doing going to the gym three days a week and I really need to stop snacking so much maybe that is my problem with putting on 3 to 4 pounds I do not want to gain anymore weight My Goal is to lose weight so I will have to cut back a lot on snacks lately I have bene eating a lot of snacks not anymore every now and then but not all the time but I guess it would be ok in moderation just like anything else.
thanks for the encouragement
You’re welcome @ImprisonedSpirit1
Try eating lower carb snacks like nuts or nut butter
But not too many
At first you will gain weight as you gain muscle but then muscle weight stabilizes and you should then lose weight. Do a calorie deficit which means burning more calories than you are taking in.
Yes online calories calculators with metabolic basal rate (calories burned at rest or metabolism) are useful.
Back taking Alli again to help with losing the few pounds I had gained will continue taking Alli until reaching a healthy weight for my body frame and height. Also taking Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies to maintain my weight so wish me Luck everyone on my weight loss endeavors I will never ever give up I am determined to beat and get past this plateau I am stuck right now but hopefully I will start losing once again then I can move on to other goals I wish to accomplish if any.
Good luck with losing weight
Good luck @ImprisonedSpirit1!

When I had a weight problem, I used to get hysterical when the numbers were high. It was the idea that I was not in control. Also, that my fat self wasn’t appreciated and loved. I have watched fat people closely and know that they are hard working, decent people. Being fat is a condition, not a crime. Good luck to you.
thank you for your reply
