No longer schizophrenic

I spoke to the early morning care team (a call back) the guy was ok, he seemed a little hard lined but he seemed helpful at the same time, I spoke to him about my troubles and he was ok about it, said i thought i still had underlying sz and he said i haven’t as i don’t get any breakthrough symptoms anymore, i said it might be because i take the meds but he said I’d still get some break through symptoms, so it looks like they are saying i haven’t got schizophrenia anymore. (i guess i should celebrate) it is still a worry though tbh.

Was the person in question a doctor?

Be careful of that advice… I was told by my psychiatrist that he’d only seen two people relapse in his entire career after coming off ok 2.5 mg Olanzapine. So I took the risk and quit……
4 months later I had a bad relapse lasting over 3 months.
Lost my job and girlfriend etc. Am now on 12.5 Olanzapine and am no where near as well as I was before I came off medication that time.

Schizophrenia doesn’t just disappear
You are probably experiencing a sort of vacation or remission from the illness but you still have it and always will.
Enjoy the peace while you still have it

I’m not taking it for granted, the guy was a trained dr as far as i know, in charge of talking to people who phone and the call isn’t resolved, only way to resolve that call before being handed over was to do what i was intending then their would have been no need for a call in the first place  :face_with_raised_eyebrow: makes sense ‘he says sarcastically’

seriously though my pdoc is such an ass he said i dint even have itin the first place, they guys head must be so far up his ass :frowning: (i really hope he doesnt read this) bc he;s an ■■■■■■■ hahah
