Can you change insurance companies?

Or get your doctor to fill out the paperwork required to show your medications are medically necessary? Am sure your insurance company would rather cover your meds than your inpatient hospitalization, not to mention any wacky self-mutilation you might get up to.

I noticed something similar when using good rx. You should try to use it you could get it at a cheaper price. goodrx.com or something like that. If this is one of the unforseen by products the republicans tampering with it could make it better in the future. Of course they could make it worse. Anyway try good rx. Just go back to the pharmacist and use the code they give you one the website.

I have no insurance, so I use GoodRx.com discounts. It brings my Wellbutrin down from around $120 to about $50, and it brings my Lamictal down from around $70 to just $11. How much it helps varies with the med, but definitely worth looking into. When I was on Zyprexa it brought the price all the way down to around $10 I think. Prices can vary quite a bit from one pharmacy to another, as well, even with GoodRx. Rite Aid was going to charge me $175 for my Zyprexa script; I thought I was screwed. I just got approved for a patient assistance program for my AP injection, though I had been getting it via free samples; maybe you could get something like that if needed? There are many options to consider. I go to a community mental health center for free; it’s not the greatest, but I have a good dr there, and that’s what matters.

I promised to the old gods not to rip my eye out…I couldn’t handle Odin style knowledge…I just need to be careful…

I got dumped from med insurance and havent had a pdoc or meds since 2012, I don’t recommended it if at all possible…it ain’t pretty.

@Rhubot did you delete my posts. I didn’t say anything really inflammatory in them other than I didn’t like the affordable care act.

I deleted a conversation that got too political, yes.

Not good news …!!! Hope u get new insurgence …!!!
We don’t have such provision as Insurance ssdi ssi …!!!
But medicine are cheaper as compared to canada and Us …!!

Alright guess I’ll use private message next time. I think I’ve said more political stuff than that before that wasn’t deleted. Was it because I talked about talking to your congressman?

Your end wasn’t really the troublesome part.

Well okay I guess it was scoobasteve’s part.

To be fair…I don’t know how I was being insured the last 3 years…so it may be I have a deductible I need to meet…if so I’ll go to the er for my next kidney stone…that should cover what I need…but until then pray to your makers for me…I have enough meds for 2 days…then withdraw then there seems to be about 2-4 weeks of feeling OK then I may go super Sz…I have that long to straighten this out on top of the other crap I need to do…not gonna be fun…

Call your insurer and figure out what’s up. If it’s a deductible thing, try to get samples or rebates in the meantime. But stopping cold turkey is disastrous in general and also in your specific case.

Glad you don’t have any designs on your eye. I’ll always worry!

I’m afraid to call them…I have insurance through a company I worked for 3 years ago…I think it was a mistake that I’ve been on it this long…I haven’t paid any thing on it in 3 years …so worried about that…

You should really try the good rx thing. You wouldn’t think that it works until it does. At least that is how it was for me.
