Well I am starting a few days early. I normally drink between 6 and 8 cans of regular coke a day, and today was day 1 with no soda at all! I am now going to drink crystal light iced tea ether regular or peach flavored. my problem is that I honestly do not eat a lo, I have 1 meal a day, something diet, like tuna on crackers, or turkey cutlet with cranberry (no bread), or chicken ceasar salad with a small amount of dressing. but now everything is going to change because I am going back to being vegetarian, the only thing I will allow is fish for protein, when I get money on the 1st I will buy some rice cakes and other healthy snacks that I enjoy.
I ued to be 240pounds, and I dropped down to 90 pounds, So I know I can do this, and I am really focused because I have a closet full of clothes that do not fit me. All my calories come from all the soda I drink, I am not a big eater, so I know I can do this, all I need is a little support!
I partially switched from TEN (!!!) diet cokes a day to 4 a day. I drink Crystal Light now too. An added bonus is that it cost half as much as Coke. Good luck on cutting down on the coke. And good luck on your new diet. Don’t lose too much weight, that could be a whole new set of problems that you seriously don’t want. The key to everything is balance.
I sometimes drink diet cola, but the problem is that after that I can not sleep well and so I do not do it. Regular coke can have devastating effects in one’s body as somebody had tested it. I have also diabetes and so it would be harmful to drink these sugar drinks.
I’ve read that diet coke is even worse for you than regular. Good for you Kittycat! I have an awesome Mexican Bean Salad recipe if you want it. Its to die for!

Twas the month after Christmas,
and all through the house,
Nothing would fit me,
not even a blouse.
The cookies I’d nibbled,
the eggnog I’d taste,
At the holiday parties,
had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales,

“No, thank you, please.”
As I dressed myself,
in my husband’s old shirt,
And prepared once again,
to do battle with dirt,
I said to myself,
as I only can
“You can spend a winter
disguised as a man!”
So-away with the last,
of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake,
every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food,
that I like must be banished
Till all the additional,
ounces have vanished.
I won’t have a cookie,
not even a lick.
I’ll want only to chew,
on a long celery stick.
I won’t have hot biscuits,
or corn bread, or pie,
I’ll munch on a carrot,
and quietly cry.
I’m hungry, I’m lonesome,
and life is a bore-
But isn’t that what,
January is for?
Unable to giggle,
no longer a riot.

I need to go on a diet. I’m 5’ 9" and I weigh 240 lbs. The excess weight is concentrated around my belly, and it is causing back problems.
my extra weight is concentrated around my midsection too, and some in my butt and thighs. So fat it has been about a week and I have only had 1 soda. Nothing since New Years. I have to do more than just cut back with the soda though, I have to make sure I continue to eat healthy, and cut out any snacks. My biggest problem is lack of excersize because of my back pain, each step not only hurts my back, but radiates down my leg, it is very painful;, especially in the morning. Pain meds only help so much. Losing the weight is going to lessen the pain.
