Never Ending

does anyone have a problem of loving someone?

Like finding someone or not feeling the emotional connection? I had problems with the later but it came back after I got used to my meds bet it took a year.

not feeling the emotional connection.

Pretty much been that way all my life, not sure why. Yes I have felt love, but in time it seems to disappear, I know it was there, but there is no one near me in my life that I can truly say I LOVE.

That’s a problem for me. I’m lucky I bonded with Mrs. Pixel. I don’t usually connect with most people.

How long have you been on meds?

i haven’t been on any meds for the past two years.

@baybeeemarieeee Are you seeing a pdoc or therapist? Are you diagnosed?

It took me awhile, keep open communication with your doctor about it. Remember love is more an action than a feeling. The feeling is just a positive side effect of the action. I know it can feel like a job and not natural ,like forced. But you are choosing to love someone and they are choosing to and deserve to be loved by you. I wouldn’t discuss this with them so much as they won’t understand the effects of the illness. They will think you are falling out of love with them and it may effect how they love you or if they want to continue. I talked about my flat emotions with my wife but never used the love word. It’s probably the illness my wife and I both have to fall in love all over again after each episode. Takes time and work but is worth it . We have the best relationship of anyone I know and it’s because of the hard times and the fact we know we are in it for life. Best wishes.

Sorry I misunderstood thought you were diagnosed and on meds. Do you think you should go see a doctor. Maybe depression?
