Yeah, that’s about how I am. About 10 years ago, I was a neat 155 (5’10" tall). I had maintained my 155 lbs. for over 6 years and had weighed less before then as a teen before having kids. Suddenly, I started gaining weight without a change in diet or exercise. I ballooned up to 245 in about a year and a half period. I stayed that way for a while. Then, once again without any changes, I lost all the weight without any changes in diet or exercise. Stayed that way for a while. Then same thing happened- no changes, weight gain. Stayed that way for a while, lost the weight again. Now I’m gaining again. I hate it. I don’t know what causes it. I’m up to 183 from 157 in June 2017. So I guess I’m insulating too.

Sorry for the lengthy post. I guess I am frustrated and needed to vent…

I’ve got it figured out. if I eat 2 or 3 meals a day I get up to about 165lbs and stay that weight, if I do like I do now and stick to 1000 calories I maintain my weight at 150lbs. If I make it through winter without gaining im confident I’ll be able to lose my little belly I developed. I don’t want a six pack just a flat stomach like I had my whole pre med life. im not really overweight just don’t like my belly.

right now my schedule goes smoothie, workout, lunch and don’t eat anything else all day. it’s weird im never that hungry sometimes I wait like 20 hours between meals and im not that hungry. im going hiking in a week, I will probably just do it fasted and lose 5-8 pounds

@Lifer, it’s not safe to eat less than 1250 calories a day. Why don’t you try an app like www.myfitnesspal.com to help you on your weight loss journey? You enter in your activity level, your data, and your weight loss goals, then keep track of your exercise and what you eat. They have an insane database of food and nutrition data so you know exactly what you’re taking in. It even provides an estimate of how much you would weigh in x many weeks given how many calories you’ve had in a day. It gives charts to show your progress over time, which is very helpful if you provide regular information/ check-ins. In case you can’t tell, I’d highly recommend it.

I’m using an App on my phone to help count calories.
I’m also using my calculator to help calculate my calorie intake.

I love it and hate it. No matter what I do, I gain weight, so it’s depressing. I am also a little obsessed with it. I am constantly checking food and planning out what I can eat. I am on it all the time and keep a tab open on my computer for it. I am very OCD about it, so I know it isn’t good for me. But I like knowing what I’m taking in.

thanks ill check that out.
