I lost over 4 pounds this week! Yay!!!
That’s great! I wish I could lose weight that fast.
I am exert5 days per week, and eating 1200 calories per day @anon21849028 . If you’re male, you shouldn’t go below 1500 calories though. Try 1500 calories and exercise
I walk every day and I think I get about 2,000 calories a day. I don’t know how to get less calories unless I eat more fruit and vegetables.
Use MyFitnessPal app on your phone. Enter all the foods you’re going to eat for the day, and make adjustments to how much and what you eat. It’s easy to use
Ok, I’ll try that!
Yes!! Well done !! Can I ask how many minutes you exercise ?
Good luck @anon21849028 !!!
30-50 depending on the day. 5 days a week, I do 30 minutes of cardio. 3 days a week I do weights for 20 minutes
Nice I’m going to have to increase to 45 minutes next week myself.
I had lost 65 lbs at the end of November. December being what it is, a bit snuck back and I finished 2020 with 62.2 lbs gone. Then 5 lbs more came back in January. I’ve been walking every day still, but not as much with the cold and ice. My left shoulder injury has hampered exercising some. Being honest, I started to slip when it came to food intake, too. I signed up with Noom last week and 8.2 lbs are gone as of this morning. It’s like, holy crap. This puts total weight loss since Jan 2020 at 70.4 lbs.
Feels good to be a loser again!
Good luck @anon80629714 !!!
Wow! @shutterbug, that’s awesome!!! I’ve wondered how good Noom is. I guess it’s really good
Not sure yet. There’s some accountability with it you don’t get on MFP, I think that helps.
Cool. Will you do me a favor and let me know how you like it after you’re more certain of your opinion on it?
I will do so. It’s just that it’s so expensive that you don’t want to rush into it, especially as I know you folks have had some financial pressures and sure as heck don’t need an extra bill on top of everything else. If you do decide to pull the trigger, let me know in advance. I’m in some Noom support groups on FB and I’ll get you a current promo code that will more than halve the price for you.
Cool! Thanks! I didn’t realize it was so expensive. But, now that I think about it, they all are really expensive. Especially if you have to buy food through them. Then it’s outrageous.
They have some paid upgrades like menu planning and such. I’ve noticed that their “counselors” will also try and steer you towards the paid upgrades. They don’t sell their own food that I can see and I give them props for trying to push you towards healthy fresh choices rather than packaged foods.
I like that about them too. But I don’t like that they’re so pushy about the upgrades.
