Need some advice about clozapine. Dosage, interactions, weight gain. and anything else you can think of. thanks.
you need to get your blood checked every so often, i have 2 friends with p/sz and they take clozapine and it good for them, one of them doesnt seem affected by weight gain and the other isnt too bad either just a little weight gain.

no sorry but i know that the one with the little weight gain had his increased recently but idk the dose, he told me but i cant remember, sorry, he is a very functional man, he is caring for his dad 5 days a week just now hence the increase in dose

The right dose depends on the person. You should discuss this with your doctor. There is no one size fits all dose, only a range, from minimum effective to maximum, and your doctor will know the range.
They will probably start you off lower and work you up. You’ll have to have blood tests.
Glad to hear it. youre on quite a low dose considering the maximum dose.have you always been on that dose? when you say you have good and bad days what do you mean?

No, fortunately I was able to use other medications. If they stopped working through, I would. It’s a serious med but it has a long history of working where nothing else does.
There are others here who use it. Might try searching “clozapine” under the meds topic as well, if you haven’t already.
oh, god. that’s awful. I already sweat loads and have suppressed breathing due to my heart rate.

I am taking Clozapine and it is working well for me, helps me sleep at night.
